Keep On Digging

So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. – Galatians 6:9
In order to reap a harvest, you must first sow one, but even before the sowing can be done, you usually have to dig.
As I type, I am keenly aware of some faithful Christ-followers in some hard places doing some tough “digging.” Most of them serve in fields where a long line of previous “diggers” spent their lives cultivating in hopes of a future harvest. Rock, root, and just plain old hard-pan have often been before them, but they never stopped believing that if they didn’t wear out before the ground gave-in the victory might eventually be won. Even when the “tools” they were using broke or became ineffective, they just picked up something new and kept … on … digging.
Whether digging, sowing, or reaping … we are called to one and all … and, of course, to never give up.
Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible. – Corrie Ten Boom
