One Day

He led me to the gate, the one that faces east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice sounded like the roar of mighty waters, and the earth shone with His glory. – Ezekiel 43:1-2
Most biblical theologians catch the Messianic significance of this particular section of Ezekiel’s Temple vision and prophecy. At the conclusion of the detailed depiction of a newly revised Temple, Ezekiel is led to the exact place where the glory of the God of Israel returns to fill it with His presence.
In the same way, each of us who truly know Christ are led by the Spirit to finally see Him and be ultimately filled by Him. Ezekiel saw it in a vision, but we experience it in reality. As God intended Ezekiel to be encouraged by what he saw … and in turn to encourage the entire nation … let us be encouraged by the reality of our faith in Christ.
Be strong and of good courage. The One who led us and met us will also … one day … greet us again.
You are saved … seek to be like your Savior. – Charles Spurgeon
