Do not touch My anointed ones or harm My prophets. – 1 Chronicles 16:22

Does God take care of you? Does He protect you and keep you from harm? Yes and No? Sometimes, yes, and sometimes, no?
Yeah, that is how it seems to me, too. You see, God’s plans do not always include our comfort. For example, the context for the verse above is a statement of protection for the families of Abram and Jacob. This promise came long before they ever entered the land of Egypt where the descendants of these two men suffered greatly and before they were led out of that slavery by Moses. Though chosen, they certainly suffered.
If God has chosen you, then you are blessed. If God has further decided to give you a prophetic voice, then it is a privilege; however, do not be deceived. These privileges and blessings come with a price. They will cost you your comfort and your pride. They might even cost you your life, but no matter what happens, God is and will be glorified.
His care is not just for a lifetime. It is for an eternal life-time.
Consecration: The act of setting apart or dedicating to a divine Being, or to a sacred use, often with religious solemnities; solemn appropriation.
