They will crush you into the ground, and your children with you. Your enemies will not leave a single stone in place, because you did not recognize it when God visited you. – Luke 19:44

Have you ever missed a “good” opportunity? Usually when we think of an “opportunity missed” it involves some amazing investment. We have all probably had at least a couple of occasions when we could have become part of some great, new enterprise, but elected not to get involved … only to find out later that it was a huge success. In any case, we can certainly learn to live with some missed opportunities., but perhaps not all.
For example, how many opportunities does a person get to put their trust in Christ? One … two … three … more? Of course, I truly have no idea, but of all the “opportunities” a person may have in his life, this one is the most important. According to Scripture, the “time of visitation” was a moment of either salvation or judgment and Jesus said that Jerusalem did not recognize hers.
The greatest question might be, “Have or will you miss yours?”
A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. – Winston Churchill
