With Enthusiasm

At last the wall was completed to half its height around the entire city, for the people had worked with enthusiasm. – Nehemiah 4:6

What does God want from you? What is it that Jesus Christ asks of ALL His followers? How much is “enough” of your life? Does He want a part or the whole?

Nehemiah left Susa to go to Jerusalem and lead the task of rebuilding the wall around the city. The job was completed in 52 days. How was this possible? Well, the biblical record tells us that, “… the people had worked with enthusiasm.”

How about you? Do you have a mind to work enthusiastically for your Lord? If not, why not? Jesus gave and paid it all. Isn’t it time for His church to give Him all she has in reply?

A person with half volition goes backwards and forwards but makes no progress on even the smoothest of roads. – Thomas Carlyle
