“For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the Lord who has compassion on you. – Isaiah 54:10

Some things never change. For example, my son-in-law used to say that you could know it was spring in the US, because the Pittsburgh Pirates were losing! We escaped mediocrity for a few years, but now it seems we are back to our losing ways.
Some things really never change; like the seasons, the rising and setting of the sun, a full moon every month, and the love of God in Christ Jesus. Even when we may not feel God’s love (our fault, not His), it is always there. The mountains may move, the sun may cease to shine, the Pirates might even make it into the World Series again, but I know the love of God in Christ will remain constant.
God’s love will never change, because He never changes.
Within each of us exists the image of God, however disfigured and corrupted by sin it may presently be. God is able to recover this image through grace as we are conformed to Christ. – Alister McGrath
