Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. – Revelation 1:7

When Christ returns, it will be visible to everyone on earth; a joyous, earth-shattering event for the saints, but a time of mourning for those without Christ Jesus. These will mourn their fate, their ignorance, and their loss, but they will also mourn their misappropriated lives; to have had the gracious opportunity to live for God’s glory rather than earthly riches, having settled for much less. How tragic it will be to have been born for potential royalty, yet to have lived as a beggar on the street.
We who are redeemed wait with eager anticipation to be delivered from an enemy’s domain. This is not our home. The King is coming. The glory that He promised will be realized. All will not be rescued, will you?
Many of those who will be rescued are not preparing, are you?
There have been men before now who got so interested in proving the existence of God that they came to care nothing for God Himself, as if the good Lord had nothing to do but exist! There have been some who were so occupied in spreading Christianity that they never gave a thought to Christ. – C. S. Lewis
