May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your purpose! – Psalms 20:4

Alignment occurs when all parts of an entity are moving in the same direction. With that definition in mind, there can be no greater blessing for a servant of God than to experience what might be called “spiritual” alignment.
The psalmist speaks of desire and purpose. We all have desires and we also have a God-given purpose. Rick Warren, the pastor of Saddleback Community Church, has made millions of dollars writing about this simple concept. Yet often, our desires work against our purpose. God sovereignly made us to do one thing, yet we desire and do another. When our desires conflict with His purpose we experience discomfort; however, when our desires align with God’s purpose then the fulfillment and fruitfulness are truly amazing.
Could there be any greater prayer for a believer than the simple verse above? Indeed not, and it is my prayer for you today.
If you want the necessary to stand out, you have to get rid of the unnecessary. – Hans Hoffman
