In these times of uncertainty, we need to be able to “gather” and create community wherever we can.
Our virtual small group is simply a weekly time for friends to gather (old and new, well-known and barely-known, physical and virtual) and find mutual encouragement, accountability, and connection.
Each Saturday at 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
Just use this link (if you own a Mac, you will want to download the Microsoft Teams app first).
This (like all of us) is a “work in progress.” I’m sure that for some this may not be your “cup of tea.” So, grab some coffee and your laptop and we will see where it goes!
Dr. David Pope (and others from time-to-time) will walk with us through God’s Word with exegetical honesty, transparency, and accuracy. There will also be time to offer questions for consideration by all in virtual attendance.
Though we will always seek to follow a familiar pattern of worship, Word, dialogue, and prayer, we intend to leave ample room for the Holy Spirit to guide us in our understanding of God’s truth and connection with the Father by the Son in prayer.
Connections in a day of social distancing are perhaps needed more than ever. We encourage physical meetings with other believers (your local church, for example), but for many this is just not possible (or wise). Our hope is that friends will be made and conversations expand beyond our efforts here.
Aloneness can lead to loneliness. God’s preventative for loneliness is intimacy – meaningful, open, sharing relationships with one another. In Christ we have the capacity for the fulfilling sense of belonging which comes from intimate fellowship with God and with other believers..
